Launched in 2019 by Sophie Reeves, Epoch is a woven textile company producing handwoven rugs and now throws. Each piece is made on a floor loom in the UK, marrying traditional techniques with contemporary design and using surplus wool from UK suppliers.
The new jacquard throws are entirely produced using a cotton warp and merino wool weft, and have a shorter pile. This give them a very distinct, drier feel than the average throw. They are specifically designed to not only age better, but also hold their structure better making them a perfect accessory for all year round, not just winter months.
Epoch’s rugs and throws are available for purchase on epochtextiles.co.uk and mini rugs are available on Laura Jackson’s new platform Glassette.
