Cast & Found: Memorial jewellery collection to treasure connections

Independent UK jewellery brand CAST & FOUND, which is led by passionate and skilled jeweller Jessica Collin, has developed a unique way to treasure connections through its latest collection called “Memorial Collection”. Through permanently sealed, beautifully designed gold and silver capsules, customers can eternally treasure ashes and other precious contents such as locks of hair and threads from a loved one’s favoured jumper or special handwritten messages and romantic notes.

Directly cast and inspired by nature’s ‘natural capsules’, including acorns and poppy seed heads, every design has been developed to have to have beautiful detail and textures. Customers can choose from a selection of pendants, as bangles and rings themed on – acorns, snow drops, shells, a robin with rose gold breast, and beautiful poppy seed heads. Available in 925 sterling silver and gold, prices are upwards of £200.

Jessica Collin, owner and jewellery designer of CAST & FOUND, said: “The importance of capturing connections and being able to hold memories close became so important to me as a designer when I lost my own father aged just 21. This was during my final year of my degree studying Jewellery Design, so not having him there on my graduation day was so sad but knowing he would never walk me down the aisle was even more painful. This is when I first started to see how powerful jewellery can be in keeping love alive.”

Treasuring stories and keeping connections alive is at the heart of this independent business. Every piece is thoughtfully made by hand in Nottinghamshire, cast using ethically sourced materials, and the exclusive capsule style designs are permanently sealed using a heatless laser for permanence, to ensure the precious content is kept safe forever.

“When designing this collection, I took special care when to take my inspiration from nature which would resonate with people’s stories. For example, I decided to choose poppies because  they symbolise remembrance, peace and rest, and acorns represent inner strength, courage, wisdom and protection. Shells because of the memories so many of us have of special times by the sea. I developed this series of jewellery in the hope of offering a unique and beautiful alternative to the memorial jewellery that is currently on the high street. Every thought and consideration were given, to create pieces that are gorgeous enough to wear on the most special of days, as well as every day.”

All the designs are available to order online in 925 silver, or you can get in touch to request a quote for a bespoke piece, stating your preferred colour and carat of gold.

Once a handmade design has been chosen and ordered, customers will then receive an email to get started on your bespoke heirloom and guide you through the next steps of treasuring your story. Customers can expect delivery of their purchase within four to six weeks.
