Natasha Burton Interiors: Take a tour of this renovated living space

Natasha Burton Interiors

Suffolk-based interior design studio Natasha Burton Interiors completed recently a family room renovation, giving the space new flooring, plastering throughout, new lighting and some bespoke joinery. Being an old property there were subtle tweaks Natasha and her team made to make it much more modern and contemporary but sympathetic to the building. Removing the old fashioned fireplace and adding a wood-burner with a stylish wooden mantel is one example of that.

Making full use of the understairs they added some clever storage. The whole space was elevated by adding modern lighting and big comfy sofas giving it warmth and cosiness.

A naturally darker space the room needed to be lifted through clever use of colour to make it feel cosy, brighter and a really usable hub of the home for a busy family. A warm neutral gave it not only a softer look, but also made the room feel brighter and was a great backdrop to the more colourful sofas and accessories.

The ‘conservatory area’ had some bespoke bookcases designed and installed to give this area a much better sense of purpose and also feel connected to the main living area.

The downstairs cloakroom, which led off from this room, was decorated with a patterned wallpaper and blue tiles giving the small room a unexpected wow-factor.
