Momina Watton, Creative Director and Founder of Atelier278

Momina Watton, Creative Director and Founder of Atelier278, embarked on a journey into interiors after a decade-long career in beauty PR, starting at SpaceNK under the mentorship of visionary founder Nicky Kinnaird. Momina’s foray into design was born out of a personal quest for well-made and affordable custom pieces for her own home. Driven by her own experiences seeking bespoke solutions, her designs prioritise the needs of the customer and her innate creativity and discerning eye guide her work, ensuring each piece resonates with her distinctive aesthetic.

Momina has cultivated a portfolio marked by notable collaborations, with firms including BANDA and high-profile clients such as Kelly Hoppen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She champions fair pricing and sustainable practices, sourcing locally and minimising environmental impact through considered courier methods, packaging and localised production.

With a dedication to authenticity and exploration, Momina finds inspiration in immersing herself in diverse cultures, seeking out local artisans and hidden gems off the beaten path. Atelier278 embodies Momina’s ethos of quality, sustainability, and accessibility, defining her as a trailblazer in the world of interiors.

Ester Patterson, Designer and Founder of Curiousa

Esther Patterson launched Curiousa in 2010 having graduated as a mature student with a first class degree in Decorative Arts. Her first studio was a caravan parked on the family drive, but now, over 14 years on, Curiousa employs a small close-knit team, designing and manufacturing hand-blown glass and ceramic lighting from their old mill studio, nestled in Derbyshire’s Peak District. Designer and founder Esther has a real passion for all things British-made and for true craftsmanship and is proud to be part of a re-emerging tradition of British skills.

Esther says “I just love designing and have always been passionate about colour. When I was a young girl I’d be experimenting with natural dyes – boiling lichen and onion skins – I still have my note books and samples! Designing for hand-blown glass and ceramic lighting gives me that same freedom, that same endless play with colours and form, immersing myself in the exploration and experimentation. I think that sense of joy shines through.”

Moving on to work for luxury brands such as Heals, John Cullen Lighting and Marvic Textiles, Katie has been leading the marketing and business development for award-winning global lighting and furniture studio Cameron Design House for the past six years.

Under her leadership, CDH has grown on a worldwide scale with marketing activations including debuting at NYC x Design and Salone Milan.
