Born from a shared commitment to sustainability, Shiv Textiles partners with MIMMO Studios on a cushion collection that transcends seasons, making it a versatile addition to any home décor. Created by rescuing yarn destined for landfills, the cushions feature a checkerboard design intricately hand-woven by Siobhan Martin on her loom in her Brighton studio.
The sustainable ethos extends to every detail, with the cushions backed with upcycled sage green velvet, ensuring that every aspect is thoughtfully and ethically crafted. Each cushion is truly unique due to the large-scale fabric patterns used in production, celebrating individuality in effortless style.

The cushions are available in three sizes: 51cm x 30cm, 45cm x 45cm, and 55cm x 55cm, made from deadstock yarn, including a linen, cotton, and wool blend.
Exclusive to MIMMO Studios, they embody the essence of bespoke luxury while supporting local craftsmanship.

About MIMMO Studios
MIMMO Studios is a homeware and clothing shop in Cheltenham, South West UK – operating on the mantra; “Retail is broken, let’s mend it.” Founded by Lil Gardiner and Katie Brown: two women who want to prove there is a better way of doing retail by creating a fairer and more equitable future. The business is driven by the knowledge that the fashion industry is driving overconsumption and fuelling the climate crisis.
“We’re thrilled to partner with MIMMO Studios on this exciting collaboration,” says Siobhan, founder of Shiv Textiles. “It’s a testament to our shared values of sustainability and craftsmanship, and we’re excited to bring this unique collection to our customers.”

About Shiv Textiles
On a mission to throw away the throwaway culture, Shiv Textiles is already making a dent in the textile industry. Since 2021 Shiv Textiles has rescued 1073KG of industrial textile waste!
They work with mills and factories across the UK, rescuing their deadstock materials – from yarn, zips, selvedges, to buttons and more – and handcrafting it into fine homeware and accessories as well as sustainable weaving kits. By putting a modern spin on a traditional craft, its founder, Siobhan Martin, wants to show that it’s possible for us to enjoy pieces we all cherish while minimising the impact on the planet too.
Shiv Textiles was born in Siobhan’s bedroom in 2017. As an intern for big-name brands in the textiles and fashion industry, she was shocked by the amount of perfectly good materials going to waste. There had to be a better way to rescue and reuse some of that waste. In her eyes, fast fashion needs to take its foot off the pedal.
So she began contacting mills and factories, buying their yarns, zips, threads, buttons – all destined for landfill – by the kilogram. It’s from this otherwise throwaway waste that all Shiv Textiles’ cushions, scarves and weaving kits are created.
