HØST & VÅR: Making a positive impact in fashion

HØST & VÅR is a Norwegian brand, created in 2020, by mother and daughter team Gunn Auglend Nedrebø and Elsa Fredrikke Nedrebø. The ethos of the brand is to create garments which convey an individual and unique sensibility, and to do so in a way which makes a positive impact.

The beauty of HØST & VÅR’s collections is that all items are designed to be cross-seasonal, cross-generational, conscious, cruelty-free and as far as possible sustainable. The brand understands that sustainability is a big claim and it is almost impossible to be 100% sustainable but they are doing their best to be as close as possible. They carefully consider the best choices and continually aspire to go further in the right direction.

“We are a small team but we make exponential efforts to ensure that we focus on the entire value chain starting with thesource material and ending with the communication of our values and societal responsibility. HØST & VÅR creates garments which are feminine, bold and colourful with unique fabric patterns. We want to create garments that speak of personality, confidence, a spirited sense of happiness and a creative connection with the world.”

MATERIALS

HØST & VÅR have eliminated silk, leather, conventional cotton and products produced using toxic dying processes. These products are regarded as having a harmful impact on global warming, water and chemistry consumption and eutrophication. Instead, they have opted for fabrics such as biodegradable vegan cupro, organic cotton, modal and wool, and the team is in constant search of new sustainable fabric innovations to support.
