Introducing Honest Weaves

Independent brand Honest Weaves was founded by Hilda Allen after working as an interior designer for over ten years. Honest Weaves is a weaving studio based in Bristol making handwoven scarves, wall art, cushions and throws from a wool and yarn sourced within the UK or from a female not-for-profit cooperative – Manos del Uruguay. The cooperative supports local women to make a living while remaining in their local village and raising their families. The yarn is renowned for their fantastic colours, which have become their trademark and have been producing beautiful, natural fibre, hand-dyed yarns since 1968.

Designed to be treasured and using traditional techniques, each piece is unique. As so much care and effort is woven in to each piece, Hilda only release small batches of work at a time, aiming for a conscious, slow living.
