With an emphasis on Biophilic Design, a new online homeware store Decoraii has launched earlier this month. Championing home décor that draws influences from nature, the store is an inspiring destination of thoughtfully curated crafted items for home; from ceramics to textiles and rugs.
Designers from the UK, Scandinavia and Europe have been chosen for their expertise and imagination in creating long-lasting and unique products that foster a sense of holistic living. The store features rugs from Gelim and Design House Stockholm, sculptural vases from Lindform and tableware from Hana Karim, as well as textiles from Cushendale, Lüks and The Organic Company. The thread that pulls them all together is the sense of comfort and connection to nature they bring into interiors.
The debut online collection promotes the everyday enjoyment of being at home – living with and using crockery, rugs and blankets that are made to be treasured but feel down to earth. In a world where many throwaway home furnishings are made quickly to keep pace with trends, this is a space for appreciating craftsmanship and finding enduring items that will last through the years.
Great consideration is given to the harmony of colours and Biophilic Design principles, drawn from landscapes and oceans, resulting in a collection of invitingly organic shapes and textures that celebrate nature’s finest materials.
Décoraii was founded in 2022 by designer and Biophilic Design expert Claire Gaudion. The name Décoraii is derived from the Guernsey patois word “décoraï”, which means decorated. Through her Guernsey roots, Claire has drawn influence from the big skies and wild landscapes of the island, channelling it into a love of home décor that taps into the joy and harmony of nature.
