koru chandelier by Cameron design house

Unveiled at Decorex 2024, Cameron Design House, the acclaimed British lighting and furniture studio, is proud to introduce Koru, the latest bespoke design from Creative Director and Founder, Ian Cameron. Meaning ‘jewel’ in Finnish and drawing from Cameron’s Finnish heritage, this sculptural masterpiece is set to make a bold statement as the centrepiece in the most extraordinary of spaces.

Each chain link of the Koru chandelier is crafted from white alabaster, hand-carved by skilled craftsmen to highlight the organic beauty of the natural material. Dedicated to exploring the possibilities of light and materiality, this is theStudio’s first foray into the precious stone. The individual illumination of each link accentuates the translucent qualities and veins of the alabaster, while elegant metal elements clasp the links together.

The Koru chandelier seamlessly blends innovation, precision engineering, natural materials, and British metalwork, showcasing modern craftsmanship at its finest.

‘The Koru chandelier represents a significant moment for us as it marks our first use of alabaster, a material that embodies both strength and delicacy,’ comments Ian Cameron, Creative Director and Founder of Cameron Design House. ‘Our ambition was to create a piece that not only makes a bold aesthetic statement but also celebrates theorganic beauty and unique qualities of alabaster, bringing something truly extraordinary to our collection.’

The Koru chandelier is available in a variety of lengths, configurations, and metal finishes. Whether ceiling-hung, stretched between two walls, or from ceiling to wall, the Cameron Design House Projects team offers a complimentary design service to configure the piece perfectly for your space. Its rich decorative aesthetic allows for a playful approach to both configuration and a mix of material finishes.

Bespoke options and design services are available, ensuring that each piece is tailored to the project’s requirements. Made from alabaster and available in a variety of metal finishes, mixed metal finishes, or painted elements, each Koru chandelier is completely unique due to the natural variations in the alabaster.

Handmade in Cameron Design House’s Hertfordshire workshops, every piece reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and precision.
