Luks Linen new hand-knotted collection inspired by Turkish weaving

Committed to utility and longevity Luks Linen offers a range of sustainable homewares produced using natural materials and gentle, traditional weaving techniques. From cotton peshtemals and cotton blankets to made-to-order wool rugs and wool cushions each product is made with a lifetime of use in mind, be that at home or away. Simple created and curated designs in warm neutrals with the occasional colour pop help create a sense of comfort and calm.

Working with women in the hills of Buldan, Turkey, Luks Linen latest collection features versatile artisanal homeware pieces that complement a myriad of interior styles.

The collection was inspired by shapes and forms synonymous with Turkish weaving. These individually woven pieces have gentle, unique undulations that only hands can create.

Bursting with character and texture these pieces are sure to bring joy and comfort into your living spaces.

The Bakmak collection

Inspired by the Turkish Evil Eye the Bakmak rugs and cushions are hand knotted in a mid pile weave 1 – 2 cm in depth which gives them a soft and tactile finish. Available as a bath mat, wall, floor and area rug and decorative cushions.

The Elmas collection

Synonymous with Turkish weaving the elmas (diamond) is a statement piece that showcases the gentle undulations of the hand knotting process.

This one really pops in neutral spaces and is equally at home on the wall or floor. A mid pile of 1- 2cm the rug is soft underfoot. The cushion is flat woven and has a raw finish which will take the rough and tumble of indoor and outdoor living.

The Iplik collection

The mechanics of the loom itself was an obvious place to look for inspiration. The Iplik is a nod to the heddles of the shuttle loom – simple tools without which no pattern can be made. An understated piece with a mid pile of 1-2cm that is tactile and soft. Like the Elmas, the Iplik cushion is flat woven with a raw finish which will hold its shape and last a lifetime.

The Kabarik rugs

A truly luxurious piece, the Kabarik plush wool rug is one that you need under your feet, on your chair and in your life. Hand knotted with wool lengths of 5- 6cm, the Kabarik is bursting with textures that help create calm and cosy vignettes in the home. Finished with a simple plaited fringe.
