Based in London, the company began life as an Instagram account set up by Camilla Stannard, who grew up in her family business importing oriental rugs. It is safe to say that Camilla has been spending much of her childhood around rugs, and so it didn’t take long before Lilla Rugs has become renowned for rug hunting with a personal touch. From online advice, to personalised recommendations and even house visits, the team goes above and beyond to ensure clients find the perfect rug for their home.

Growing up, Camilla spent a short time living in Iran and travelled around the country with her parents, meeting all sorts of rug weavers and their families. This time gave her valuable insights into different weaving processes that only a handful people are lucky enough to have. These experiences, in combination with over 30 years of collection building with her parents, gave Camilla unrivalled advantage, driven by her passion.

The Lilla Rugs store has over 10,000 sqft of showroom space, and one of the largest selections of handmade rugs in the UK. Rugs put a unique stamp on a room, and are an important part of what turns a house into a home.
