As part of their Decorex showcase, award winning interior decor paint brand YesColours are launching a first of its kind initiative, The Colour Collective. Designed exclusively for design professionals, this initiative provides access to a series of monthly networking events and highly attractive commission rates for those specifying YesColours for various projects.
YesColours will be introducing the Collective to attendees at Decorex this year, where they explore the immersive Colour Café experience as well as get their hands on some of their products at the show. As part of the paint brand’s growing network, industry professionals will have access to exclusive discounts and other competitive incentives.
The first Colour Collective event will be hosted in London during November, where the YesColours community can expect to see familiar faces while connecting with new ones, learn more about YesColours and other interior decor brands, hear from key speakers in the industry, plus have a drink or two and let their hair down.
Here we chat with exclusively with John Stubbs, Founder of YesColours about the Collective…

What was the vision behind the Colour Café?
YesColours will be introducing the YesColours Collective to attendees at Decorex this year, but to do this we wanted to create a space where people could come and explore the inspiration behind our colours, the positive impact that colour can have through design, as well as the importance of colour psychology in terms of using colour in our spaces and products. We are being supported by some amazing brands like HouseOf, FloorStory and more, who are using colour in imaginative ways to create a positive reaction from our senses. Plus, we want to make sure people can get their hands on some of our unique products at the show.
What message or impression do you hope visitors will take away from their encounter with the YesColours’ Colour Café?
We want to make people feel like they have a renewed confidence about using colour in their design work, their business, their homes and spaces. We are seeing a resurgence of colour in many areas and we want to be leading the charge with this approach within the creative industries, events, retail, product design and interior design — as that’s where our hearts are. So, whether you are a brand or business, a budding designer or a senior architect, we want you to come away feeling positively energised by our approach to colour and feel like you have a design-led brand like YesColours to partner with for your next project, and beyond.
Why did this year feel like the right year to exhibit?
With a keen eye on interior design and new innovation, Decorex has long been on our radar. Now, in our second year of business, we are more established and eager to bring YesColours to the forefront of the market. As we set our sights even higher, we are looking to bring a bold and dynamic representation of our brand to Decorex, taking over the cafe in prime location to showcase the crucial role of colour in design.
We want people to take more away from the show this year, to feel inspired and invigorated. Our space is not only a place to rest and recoup, but an experiential area to feel inspired and network with like-minded people. And what better way to spark a conversation than through a burst of vibrant colour?
Being at Decorex is a key moment for us, and our takeover of The Colour Cafe is going to be a highlight of the event. We can’t wait to see where our love of colour takes us next!
What do you hope to get out of this year’s show?
We’re looking to meet as many likeminded design professionals as possible that share our love for colour and design. As it’s our first year at Decorex, we, alongside our brand partners are looking to make a real impact and bring a renewed sense of energy to the event. Our takeover isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s an opportunity to come together to truly celebrate the power of colour.
We’ll be announcing our Colour Collective for professionals, which is an exclusive club of events and workshops across the country kicking off November in London. Each member will get exclusive access to incentives and have the opportunity to build their network with other design professionals and brands.
