About Emily Carter
Emily started her namesake brand whilst studying her degree at London College of Fashion, where her primary value was to create products focused on British craftsmanship, with each design illustrated by hand, unique in design and inspired by her love of nature. Emily was passionate about supporting British manufacturing, and still produces all products in the UK. Emily also continues to hand draw each design by hand, with pen and paper.
Emily became a member of the British Fashion Council in 2016 and she began exhibiting at London and Paris Fashion Week. Over the years she organically built up the brand alongside her design position at Harrods which she left in 2020. She has since received numerous awards for her work, such as Forbes 30 Under 30, and has stocked her products internationally in stores such as Liberty, Harvey Nichols & Selfridges.
Alongside the brand, Emily designs for other brands including Harrods and Aspinal of London, and has illustrated various books and wildlife publications. She also works with The Prince’s Trust, UKFT and universities such as UAL to support emerging designers and entrepreneurs.
