Grain: Making ethical furniture in London

Grain is a London-based furniture brand that has been crafting quality, Scandinavian-inspired wooden furniture since 2017. With a commitment to design, craftsmanship and sustainability, each Grain product is designed by in-house designers and crafted in their London workshop, using only ethically sourced materials.

The brand was established by friends Robin and Tom in a basement beneath Tottenham Court Road’s furniture industry giants, and has grown under the ownership of Wilder Creative since 2022, drawing from a wealth of knowledge and experience from the distinguished furniture and joinery manufacturer.

From its roots as a humble homeware brand, today Grain is an established name that epitomises lasting, timeless design. Grain’s commitment to sustainability, both in the materials used and in the “made to order” production approach, allows the studio to minimise waste and uphold the highest standards.

The brand takes pride in using ethically and responsibly sourced materials, which are then masterfully crafted by skilled carpenters in their East London workshop. Each piece of furniture is meticulously created to last a lifetime, exemplifying a dedication to quality craftsmanship. With at-home assembly and an accessible price point, Grain offers elevated furniture pieces in a broad spectrum of finishes and colours, ensuring that each piece of the collection not only stands the test of time but also complements a multitude of different interior styles.

The journey continues next year with an expanded product range and the official launch of brand’s first ever showroom in London, offering the chance to not only see the beautiful tactile furniture collections first-hand but also to meet the skilled craftspeople behind each piece.
