tricia paoluccio artist feature by estila

Artist, designer to the stars, and acclaimed actress Tricia Paoluccio, whose pressed flower creations have adorned fashion icons like Anna Wintour and Taylor Swift, now unveils a new way to experience her work: a debut collection of museum-quality, limited-edition fine art prints.

Drawing from decades of practice and a lifelong fascination with flowers, Tricia Paoluccio has transformed the traditional art of flower pressing into a contemporary visual language. Each piece begins with live flowers, handpicked and pressed between layers of paper and cardboard using a distinctive method. She then arranges them on handmade papers, crafting intricate designs in her one-of-a-kind style.

The finished works are photographed in high resolution, allowing for precise reproduction while capturing delicate details, vibrant colors, and the illusion of real life. The resulting images are printed on archival, acid-free cotton rag paper with hand-deckled edges, ensuring both longevity and exceptional quality.

This launch features just some of her 40 original, copyrighted designs. Many are inspired by the richness of spring and summer botanicals, with standout works such as And I Love Her, a radiant rainbow of pressed sunflowers, lupine, and cosmos that captures the joy of wildflower abundance; Bespoke Wildflower Botanical Ombre Collage, a soft, tonal gradient of locally gathered blooms arranged with painterly precision; and Sapphire Sky, a striking design featuring vivid purples and blues against black paper, evoking the drama of twilight.

Each print is produced using archival techniques that preserve the intricate beauty of the original compositions, blending Paoluccio’s deep reverence for nature with her refined artistic eye.

Paoluccio said “This collection is incredibly personal to me. I’ve been pressing flowers since childhood, and to see that early obsession evolve into something others can now live with and enjoy, it’s deeply fulfilling.” “My hope is that these works bring a sense of calm, joy, and natural wonder into people’s everyday spaces, and that my work elevates and modernises the art of flower pressing”.

The collection is an extension of Paoluccio’s growing creative studio, which has already collaborated with leading fashion and design houses including Oscar de la Renta, Tiffany & Co., Loewe, Steinway, and Jwana Hamdam. Her pressed flower artwork has been adapted into textiles, wallpaper, porcelain, and fine rugs.

Rooted in both craftsmanship and technology, Domain of the Flowerings presents pressed flower imagery as a modern art form, adaptable, elevated, and inherently timeless. This launch solidifies Paoluccio’s vision: to bring nature’s most ephemeral materials into the world of collectible design and fine art.

In addition to her visual work, Paoluccio offers online flower pressing courses through Modern Pressed Flower aimed at beginners and aspiring creatives alike. Her in person workshops and online recorded classes guide participants through the complete process of pressing flowers and creating compositions.

About Domain of the Flowerings

Domain of the Flowerings showcases the original work of Tricia Paoluccio, a versatile and distinctive visual artist whose creations celebrate the beauty and resilience of nature. Each piece begins with Paoluccio carefully hand-picking a variety of flowers, wildflowers and weeds primarily sourced from the foothills of California and her family’s garden.

Through many years of mastering her craft, she has perfected the technique of pressing botanicals to preserve their natural color, vibrancy, and dimension.

Her work is a tribute to the botanical wonders that thrive around us. Each composition is thoughtfully composed with her unique hand, professionally captured, and transformed into limited-edition fine art prints. These prints are then translated into a diverse range of designs, spanning categories such as wallpaper, upholstery, porcelain tabletop, Italian linens, soft accessories, and more.
