Competition: design your own throw

Introducing the ESTILA’s first collaborative competition – Design your own throw. We have partnered with TINT, who bridges the gap between Moroccan artisans and designers on this design competition.

The idea for this competition is to give all designers the opportunity to create their own handwoven throw or a blanket for their project or for themselves.

ABOUT TINT

Founded by designer and writer, Pauline de Villiers Brettell, TINT has been working with artisans studios to create beautiful one-off designs in Tangier for many years.

The winning design will be produced in Tangier, guided and overseen by Pauline herself.

So get designing! The only limitations are the loom and your imagination…stripes, pompoms, stitching, colour blocking.

SIZE: variable but not bigger than 1.5m x 2m

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Please submit your final design in PDF, which showcases the design pattern, colours and any specific details.

DEADLINE: 16th October 2023
