birdie Fortescue and Sarah Corbett collection

Interiors brand, Birdie Fortescue, launched their second collaboration with the ever-stylish Kipper Club Founder, Sarah Corbett-Winder, earlier this month.

Following the popularity and success of their first collaboration, this year’s capsule collection is a braver and more playful second edition. Thoughtfully designed by Birdie and Sarah to make you smile, the collection is filled with forever pieces that will bring joy (and stripes!) to any interior.

The original primary colour palette of rich reds, greens and blues has evolved to incorporate dusky pink and mustard yellow into the mix. This creates the foundation for exciting pieces that are bold yet cohesive. Sarah’s motto of ‘more is always more’ injects energy and personality into the collection, whilst Birdie’s keen eye for coordinating pieces allows the capsule to be layered seamlessly together.

Stripes dominate the collection and the clever use of different proportions, textures and tones creates an interaction between the pieces that is playfully mismatched yet still harmonious.

Perfectly balancing sophistication and fun, with a focus on elevating the everyday, the new collection has extended to include a sleek set of nesting tables, checkerboard wool rugs and a new take on the popular Stripey Stool. The hero piece within the collection, and Sarah’s personal favourite, is The Striped Heaven Chair.

This sumptuous chair is generous in size, hand crafted in Norfolk from the highest quality materials, and finished in the signature stripe. Quirky bobbin feet echo The Goes Anywhere Table Lamp and The Classic Stool in a thick cord balances the chair perfectly.

New for 2024, The Check Mate Wool Rugs and Runner are Birdie’s favourite pieces. The chic design and fabulous loop pile finish adds both style and comfort to any interior, available in three colourways, the rugs ground the collection. Whilst the second collaboration has evolved to focus on bigger pieces, Birdie and Sarah have also reimagined the original much-loved accessories whilst introducing new pieces.

With sustainably made cotton mache accessories and a fresh take on lighting, the updated range also includes sleek wooden homewares including A Very Good Tray and A Very Good Bin, and previous trend led pieces have been swapped out for unique and timeless designs, such as The Grown Up Candlestick.

The evolution of these pieces echoes the blossoming partnership between Birdie and Sarah, with both creative minds focused on crafting timeless pieces that are designed to last and represent the next step in the collaboration. Embodying Birdie’s classic style with Sarah’s boundless energy, the new capsule is guaranteed to bring joy to interiors, seamlessly layer traditional with quirky and elevate the everyday.
