Another Country and kitchen specialists HUSK have collaborated on a new range of bespoke kitchen fronts. The partnership sees two brands with a shared vision for high-quality craftsmanship, sustainability and considered design, come together to create a timeless collection in colours that evoke the West Country landscape.
Bristol-based HUSK makes beautifully hand-crafted kitchen fronts that offer a clever way to customise IKEA or Howdens kitchen units to create a bespoke high-end look in your home. Experts in making handmade kitchen units since 2018, HUSK was founded by experienced joiners and furniture makers Dave Young and Ross Norgate of Young & Norgate with the stated aim of making beautiful bespoke kitchens available and accessible for all.
The new kitchen range, designed in-house at Another Country, offers a contemporary take on HUSK’s classic V Groove design and is available in a natural ash veneer or hand painted in a variety of five earthy tones inspired by the scenic West Country landscape that is home to both brands. In HUSK’s first painted collection, the colour range includes Mist Green, Devon Red, Cornfield Yellow, Purbeck Grey and Ashmore Dark Green, all hand finished in their Bristol workshop.
The natural ash finish offers a paired-back Scandinavian look and feel. In this design, a build-up of Ash veneer has been applied to create a more durable finish to give the appearance of a solid wood door front. The V Groove detailing, with a change in thickness and thinness throughout, adds a playful touch to the design as you travel from door to door and gives the option to combine different pattern formations. Each design has been carefully paired with work surfaces in solid wood or Dekton stone to create a warm, tactile, contemporary kitchen style.
“We are so excited to collaborate with fellow West Country brand HUSK on this bespoke kitchen collection. Both companies share an ethos and passion for high-quality craftsmanship, sustainability and timeless design, so we see this as the perfect match.” said Paul de Zwart, Founder of Another Country.
“This has been a real meeting of minds as both Another Country and HUSK share a passion for simple, pared back design well crafted. Another Country has taken our classic V groove and given it a twist to create this organic design that subtly changes appearance with each pattern combination. We are also excited to be launching this as our first painted collection with five colours carefully chosen to reflect the West Country heritage of both brands.” said Dave Young, founder of HUSK.
The bespoke handles, also designed by Another Country, add a sophisticated touch with a choice of natural and stained finishes. The partnership between Another Country and HUSK began at the start of the year, with a pilot Kitchen design on show in Another Country’s newly opened West Country showroom at Chaldicott Barns in Dorset. Taking a custom version of the HUSK V-Groove style, Another Country created a charming earth red kitchen which proved popular with local customers.
All the kitchen fronts are made by hand in HUSK’s Bristol workshop by a team of skilled makers committed to creating the best quality kitchens. Both Another Country and HUSK are committed to making environmentally friendly choices and as such all kitchens are made-to-order to minimise waste and all wood used is FSC certified and sustainably sourced.
The collection is available to buy from November 30th 2023 via HUSK with prices starting at £2260.00 inc VAT for a small painted kitchen and £4652.00 inc VAT for an Ash kitchen.
