Founded in 2015 as an interior goods business, Haus of Hyde was reimagined in 2021, expanding its services to cater for the growing online creative industry.
Led by Leah Meredith, the co-founder and creative director, Haus of Hyde has grown into a unique, hybrid agency that provides creative services for homes, businesses and individuals. They strive to deliver a stylish aesthetic and pride themselves on long-term working relationships with their clients.
Here we chat to Leah about Haus of Hyde’s evolution and plans for 2025 and beyond…
Can you tell us the backstory of your brand? When and why was it started?
I founded Haus of Hyde with a clear vision to create a multidisciplinary studio that blends art, design, and functionality in meaningful ways. The idea behind the studio was to offer a complete, immersive service that not only focuses on interior design but also elevates a brand’s identity through creative direction, photography, and strategic consultancy.
I saw the growing need for a holistic approach to design that could cater to clients’ evolving brand needs while still respecting the aesthetics and functionality of the spaces they live and work in. The studio was born from my passion for curating spaces that reflect both personality and purpose, creating environments that are as functional as they are inspiring. Over time, Haus of Hyde expanded to include a carefully selected team of creative professionals who all share the same passion for innovative design.

What is unique about your brand?
We have the ability to merge multiple disciplines under one roof. We’re not just an interior design studio; we also offer brand consultancy, photography, art direction, and social strategy – all aimed at bringing our clients visions to life in a cohesive, creative way.
Our approach is centered around the idea that design should be personal, tailored to each individual or brand’s needs. We pride ourselves on developing long-lasting relationships with our clients and creating spaces and strategies that evolve with them.
What sets us apart is our ability to seamlessly blend vintage pieces with modern design elements, and our commitment to sustainable practices like repurposing materials and using natural textures. It’s this combination of aesthetic refinement, strategic thinking, and personal connection that gives our clients a standout experience.

How do you balance design projects with content creation and are there any similarities or differences in the approach you take to each project?
The key is understanding that both are forms of storytelling, but in different mediums. Whether we’re working on an interior design project or crafting social content for a brand, the goal is always the same: to tell a story that resonates with the audience, reflects authenticity, and delivers something visually engaging.
In terms of similarities, both types of projects involve a lot of collaboration. Whether we’re curating a space or developing content for a brand’s social channels, we work closely with our clients to understand their vision and ensure every detail is aligned.
The difference, however, lies in the execution while design is a more tactile, physical process, content creation demands an immediate, often more dynamic approach to storytelling through imagery and video. Ultimately, both areas require a deep understanding of aesthetics, consistency, and how to communicate a brand’s message in the most engaging way possible.

What is your favourite project so far and why?
Every project is special in its own way, but if I had to choose, one of my favorites would be a recent residential design we did for a family living in a Victorian townhouse. The brief was to create a calming, functional space that reflected their personalities, vintage with a contemporary twist including elements of the couple’s art collection. The aim was to make sure every room felt like it had a purpose, whether it was for work, relaxation, or entertaining.
We took time to source unique vintage pieces that were in keeping with the era of the home but combined them with clean lines and natural materials that created a balance between old and new. The result was a space that felt timeless, comfortable, and reflected their lifestyle. It’s the kind of project where you can see the immediate impact of design on someone’s everyday life, and that’s incredibly rewarding.

What are some of the plans for the near future…
We’re excited about the future of Haus of Hyde, and there are some really exciting projects on the horizon. One of the most exciting developments is the expansion of our online interior design services. We’re working on a more streamlined digital offering, so clients can access our curated design plans no matter where they are in the world. It’s all about making design more accessible and personal.

On the creative side, we’re also working on some new collaborations with local and international brands. These projects will blend art, photography, and design, allowing us to push creative boundaries and explore new forms of visual storytelling. We’re also continuing to refine our brand consultancy services, working with new brands that align with our ethos of authenticity and creativity.
