THE PROJECT WORK:
Dolce Roopa is the luxury accessories brand founded by Roopa Sachidanand, offering wanderlust-inspired, elaborate prints on exquisite fabrics. Influenced by life experiences in Milan, New York and London, along with extensive travel, she creates timeless, bold and vivid textiles. The project involved coming up with a concept for the summer lookbook edition, marketing and promotional materials. The theme was loosely based around French Riviera, giving the shoot its own take on the theme.
Another important element and message of the story was to show how versatile silk scarves can be (as accessories) when creativity comes to play. Through styling, several looks were created to highlight layering of the fabric, using scarves as belts, headbands, wrapped around wrist instead of bracelets and accessorising handbags. Other small independent brands (Made by Wave and Harry Rocks London) were brought onboard to help with the story.
The storytelling imagery created on this shoot was featured in ESTILA Volume 4. and also in Dolce Roopa lookbook. Furthermore, the content is also helpful for social media platforms, in particular Instagram. Dolce Roopa also used the images for creating postcard style leaflets for trade shows and pop-up events.
