Since meeting Susi Bellamy at her pop up in Newcastle’s John Lewis department store last year, I have been a big fan of Susi as a creative person and as a lifestyle brand. There are a lot of independent art-led pattern designers who run lifestyle design brands on the market, but only a few I think will make it in the long run.
When I spot such potential and talent, we proudly feature it in ESTILA bookazines and shout about them. And then we keep shouting about their creative work, products and collections. So if you missed that interview feature, here I’m introducing you to “Marbled” by Susi Bellamy. The latest collection of luxury velvet fabrics, cushions, lampshades, throws and stools.
Taking a new creative narrative, the collection is inspired by the opulence of gemstones, crystals and the rich patterns of fabrics in Gustav Klimt paintings perfect for creating luxe boudoir interiors with rich colours and decorative passementerie. Susi starts her collection design by painting each element by hand in her studio before translating them onto velvet and silk, helping you to create expressive and vibrant interior spaces.
