A recently completed project in Crystal Palace, London by design studio Clare Marie Design involved redesigning the master bedroom and en-suite, two bathrooms and hallway with landing.
The client has remodelled parts of their 4 storey house when they bought it approx. 15 years ago. They converted the basement flat and bedroom into a kitchen, family room and office and positioned their master bedroom on the ground floor behind a secret curved door. They have enjoyed bringing up a family in this home and now with their children moving on, they wanted to update and renovate certain rooms.
As the clients are thinking about moving out of London, the new designs had to be saleable, but to suit their design tastes too.
ABOUT CLARE MARIE DESIGN
Clare from Clare Marie Design is an Interior Designer, based in South-East London. Clare believes that our surroundings change the way we feel and loves creating spaces which do just that. After renovating her family home Clare was often asked if she’d ever considered Interior Design as a career.
Having a background in music, Clare knew she wanted to work in a creative industry and relocated from Cheshire to London to work with an Orchestra. Here she was introduced to the world of fundraising Gala’s which led her to the Royal Horticultural Society where she worked on events such as the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show. During her time at the RHS she studied Interior Design at KLC and is now fully enjoying the world of interiors.
