BRAND STORY
Safomasi is an award winning design studio and interiors brand founded in 2012 by British-Indian couple Sarah Fotheringham and Maninder Singh.
Inspired by travels around the world, their illustrated fabrics, homewares and rugs are designed to bring joy, colour and character to interiors. Storytelling is at the heart of the brand, with each print depicting observations from a diverse range of experiences, from family holidays in Devon to adventures on safari and exploring the foothills of the Himalayas, their authentic designs are full of playful details and whimsical charm.
Since 2019, Sarah and Maninder have been based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, travelling back to their studio in Delhi as often as possible.
OUR VALUES
Safomasi believe in the beauty of handmade textiles and ethical, sustainable small batch production. They are committed to design that transcends trends and high quality craftsmanship that is made to last and be treasured for life. Safomasi is most known for their vibrant hand screen printed fabrics which are brought to life by skilled artisans in a family run screen printing workshop near New Delhi, India who they have been working with for over ten years. Their wool rugs are handwoven and tufted by weavers in Bhadohi, India, whilst all products are stitched and finished in house in Safomasi’s spacious studio in South Delhi by their small team of tailors.
BESPOKE PRODUCTS & COMMISSIONS
Safomasi love working collaboratively with interior designers to create custom pieces to perfectly suit their schemes. All rugs can be made in bespoke colours and sizes, whilst fabrics can also be printed to order in custom colourways and soft furnishings made in different sizes with specified finishes. They welcome illustration, print and design commissions and the opportunity to apply their distinctive style to different projects.
