For one of our photo shoots in our June issue I was working with Deola Charles from Ille De Cocos. I used her beautiful linen stripe vest in the French Riviera inspired beach bag feature. Deola reached out to me with her story, telling me how she changed her career from working for British brands including Selfridges, Hobbs and The White Company to creating her own line of everyday luxury wardrobe essentials.
Her mission is to help women to feel comfortable and chic in her understated, minimalist garments that are timeless and highly versatile. Each piece is unique, balancing clean silhouettes and soft textured neutrals with pops of colour.
The Ille De Cocos woman is luminous, radiating understated confidence and individuality. She lives her own way and knows her own mind.
In the world of fast fashion, I think there is a need for brands like Ille De Cocos to offer timeless pieces that we can integrate into our existing wardrobes with ease. Each piece is a great investment that will be working hard for you regardless of what’s currently trending. And that’s what style is about. I will be sharing more of Deola story and her A/W 16 collection in the September issue of High In Style but in the meantime, please go and check out Ille De Cocos website. Some items are on sale, like the ones above, which I think are perfect to get for summer holidays. Kx
