Even though the weather has been up and down in recent weeks, I have recently transitioned to my lighter makeup foundation. Over the winter months I have been using Too Faced Born This Way which I absolutely love. It covers really well but is light and smooth in texture. In the summer I always go back to Dior’s Nude as my basic summer foundation kit. It’s super light, moisturising and has SPF 15 which is great for days when the weather is very misleading. You know one of those it’s-not-hot-windy kind of days.
The Diorskin Star Concealer is my new addition to my makeup routine. It’s very brightening and again covers really well. I found that applying it in layers give better coverage and result. I normally do 2 to 3 layers with at least 5 min break between them so the skin has time to absorb it.
I finish my makeup routine with this Diorskin Nude Powder which I had for ages, meaning few years at least. It’s a very fine, silky smooth powder that holds my makeup really well. Plus it’s not drying and doesn’t emphasize any flakes or imperfections. It adds subtle glow to my face which looks very natural. And that’s it. Three Dior basic products in my summer foundation kit. P.S. Don’t forget, our beauty editor Nic is talking face sticks in our May issue. I only started getting into makeup crayons with this issue and I’m already hooked. And yes, that Clinique foundation stick is on my list for this year’s summer holidays. Go and check it out!!
